To support our continued growth in the Malaysian market, we are looking for a Chinese Malaysian Sales Engineer with an established network in the local construction industry to drive business development and expand Pebsteel's presence across Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities for Pebsteel's Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) solutions in Malaysia.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, EPC contractors, main contractors, consultants, architects, and industrial park developers.
• Identify upcoming industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial building projects.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting, technical presentations, proposal discussions, commercial negotiations, to contract closing.
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Estimating, Sales Support, and Project teams in Vietnam to deliver competitive technical and commercial solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
• Represent Pebsteel at exhibitions, networking events, and industry activities.
• Travel across Malaysia, including Selangor, Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak when required.

RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related disciplines.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the construction industry.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
• Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB)
• Structural Steel
• Steel Structures
• Industrial Construction
• Building Materials serving industrial projects
• Existing relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, EPC companies, or industrial park owners in Malaysia are highly desirable.

Skills

• Strong business development and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with regional teams.
• Commercial mindset with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.

Language

• Chinese (Mandarin-speaking) is strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is required to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking customers, contractors, developers, and business partners in Malaysia.
