Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate stock control, timely material flow to production, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting production continuity and overall factory efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Ensure timely and accurate material issuance to support production schedules
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts (cycle counts and full stock takes)
• Implement and enforce proper storage, labeling, and FIFO/FEFO practices
• Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams
• Monitor warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, stock variance, and space utilization
• Manage and supervise warehouse staff including task allocation, training, and performance monitoring
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and 5S/housekeeping standards
• Handle inbound and outbound documentation accurately (DO, GRN, inventory records)
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, racking systems, etc.)

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or related fields
• At least 5 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse systems, and material flow in manufacturing
• Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems
• Good understanding of safety standards and warehouse best practices
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight production timelines
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an advantage

Preferred Attributes

• Experience managing large warehouse teams
• Exposure to ISO, GMP, or other quality systems (depending on factory type)
• Forklift license is an added advantage
