Jawatan Kosong Junior Account Management in Labuan

We are looking for a Junior Executive to support our accounting and compliance services for captive insurance clients. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in accounting who is eager to build hands-on experience in a specialized and growing field. Full training and guidance will be provided to help you develop in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Support

• Assist in maintaining full sets of accounts (cash, prepayments, provisions, tax).
• Support the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts.
• Help respond to client queries on accounting matters, such as dividend calculations.
• Prepare and organize files and data for internal and external audits.
• Assist in compiling data for IFRS 17 actuarial reviews with guidance from senior staff.

Compliance Assistance

• Help prepare and submit regulatory reports on time.
• Assist with regulatory applications (e.g., license renewals, changes in directors).
• Liaise with corporate secretaries for compliance documentation and filings.

Tax & Reporting

• Support calculation of local expenses for Labuan substance compliance.
• Maintain proper records in line with reporting standards and internal procedures.

Client Interaction & Meetings

• Assist in scheduling board meetings and preparing agendas.
• Help prepare meeting materials (financial and compliance reports).
• Attend meetings alongside senior staff to observe and support.

Software & Tools

• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support documentation and reporting tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certifications: Basic accounting qualification or currently pursuing professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Team player with integrity, responsibility, and a positive attitude.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
