Associate Director, KYC and Client Onboarding Lead (APAC) Job Summary

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Lead is primarily to support the end to end process including client onboarding, quality control and account management.

Region: APAC

Working hours are: 9AM-6PM

What will you do?
  • Direct Responsibility / Accountability for the APAC Client Onboarding team (7 FTEs) located in RBC Malaysia branch and regional escalation for CEG / CST staff in the region.
  • Senior Interface for ensuring Urgent Business Requests and Escalations are managed and resolved within timely manner and APAC time zone.
  • With increased volume of audit requests and regulatory exams, Senior KYC Lead required within region as conduit with External Regulators and Senior Management
  • Local Senior Manager to offer guidance and support to Local CDD team in meeting business demand and client deadlines.
  • Senior Representative to attend Regional Senior Governance Forums and Operating Committees across the APAC region.
  • Reporting and tracking of KPI Metrics across all KYC activities for the region with Senior Stakeholders across the Business, AML and BCS.
  • Regional Product Lead for leading any Transformation Change Initiatives and Operating Model design.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a comparable role within a large investment bank or equivalent financial institution
  • Extensive Technical KYC / AML knowledge who can make risk-based decisions.
  • Experience in managing Senior Stakeholders across multiple regions.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, crucial for effectively communicating performance metrics, issues, and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in risk management and governance, with a proactive approach to identifying, reporting regional risk indicators.
