Jawatan Kosong Kitchen Commis Chef Local & Oriental Cuisine in Kuala Lumpur

We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Kitchen Commis Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, maintains high standards of food hygiene, and is committed to preparing quality dishes while supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.

Location : Menara Public Gold, Jalan Tun Razak (TRX MRT 5 minutes)

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and perform daily mise en place according to recipes and production requirements.

- Cook and assist in the preparation of local and oriental cuisine while maintaining food quality and consistency.

- Handle daily stock ordering and ensure timely replenishment of kitchen supplies.

- Conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).

- Wash customer dining plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.

- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen workstations, storage areas, equipment, and food preparation areas.

- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment throughout the day.

- Dispose of waste properly and keep rubbish disposal areas clean and organized.

- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and efficient service.

- Be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Requirements:

- Basic experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel kitchen is an advantage.

- Fresh graduates with a passion for cooking are encouraged to apply.

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and willing to learn.

- Good teamwork and communication skills.

- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods.

- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
