Key Responsibilities

• Vessel Movement Monitoring: Monitor and coordinate daily vessel movements, including arrivals, departures, berthing, unberthing, and shifting operations at the designated jetty, ensuring safe and efficient marine operations
• Pilotage and Marine Personnel Scheduling: Plan, coordinate, and manage the daily deployment schedules of pilots, mooring personnel (MPS), and marine support teams to ensure adequate manpower and operational readiness in accordance with vessel movement requirements
• Pilotage Operations: To support pilotage operations for the safe and efficient berthing and unberthing of vessels at designated jetties, in accordance with applicable port regulations and operational procedures
• Safety & Compliance: Ensures pilotage operations comply with national regulations, international maritime standards, and local port safety rules.
• Leadership & Personnel Management: Provides operational leadership, training coordination, and performance oversight for marine pilots operating in port regions
• Incident & Issue Resolution: Investigates operational anomalies, handles pilotage-related incident reports, and resolves recurring technical or navigational challenges
• Stakeholder Coordination: Acts as a bridge between port management, marine pilots, shipping lines, and master mariners to ensure safe vessel transit through restricted waters, ports, or harbors

Job Requirements

• Certificate of Competency (CoC): Minimum Class 2, Foreign Going.
• Pilotage Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant pilotage experience.
• Vessel Operations: Proven experience in tanker and general cargo vessel operations.
• Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of vessel manoeuvring, berthing and unberthing procedures, port operations, and navigational safety.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable maritime regulations, port requirements, and marine safety procedures.
• Operational Coordination: Experience coordinating marine personnel, vessel movements, and operational stakeholders is an advantage.
