Jawatan Kosong Sales Officer / AM Sales in Shah Alam

Main purpose of the role:

The role will be responsible for sales, developing and implementing sales strategies, managing customer relationship and achieving revenue targets in the Plastic Bag Manufacturing industry. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of the packaging industry, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. The role will focus on identifying potential customers, retailers, distributors, and strategic business partners across Malaysia Market where there is strong demand for flexible packaging products.

Responsibilities

Specific Role Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned sales, revenue, profitability, and customer-acquisition targets.
• Lead sales and business-development activities to identify and Identify potential customers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers, and other businesses that require plastic packaging products.
• Develop and maintain a structured database of prospective customers, including company details, contact persons, product requirements, estimated volumes, and business potential.
• Conduct market research to identify new customers, industries, market segments, and business opportunities.
• Promote the company's products and capabilities through direct sales, customer visits, telephone calls, email, digital platforms, exhibitions, networking, and other appropriate channels.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, product presentations, and commercial offers in coordination with relevant departments.
• Negotiate commercial terms with customers within approved company guidelines.

2. Customer Acquisition & Market Development

• Arrange customer visits, meetings, product presentations, and discussions.
• Understand customer requirements, product specifications, expected volumes, pricing expectations, quality requirements, and delivery requirements.

3. Coordination with Internal Departments

• Work closely with the existing Sales and Marketing team to develop sales plans and business-development strategies. Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, and other departments to ensure customer requirements are properly understood and fulfilled.
• Communicate customer specifications and requirements accurately to the relevant departments.
• Coordinate product samples, technical information, quotations, and other customer requirements.
• Provide market and customer feedback to management and relevant departments.
• Support new product development based on Malaysian market requirements and customer needs.

4. Market & Competitor Analysis

• Stay updated on Malaysian packaging industry trends, market developments, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, market positioning, service levels, and business strategies.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and potential threats.
• Conduct regular market visits and customer feedback activities.
• Identify new products, applications, and market segments that can increase company sales.

5. Sales Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit regular sales and business-development reports to management.
• Provide monthly updates on sales performance against targets.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience

Essential & Expertise

· Diploma or Bachelor's in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

· Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in a sales

· Experience working in a target-driven organization.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

· Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

· Time-management skills, Self-motivated, and able to work independently.

· Willingness to travel within Malaysia as required and valid Malaysian driving licence and own transportation.

· Knowledge of the plastic bagmanufacturing industry, including key products, applications, and market segments.

· Understanding of commercial practices, including pricing, margins, payment terms, delivery requirements, and commercial negotiations.

· Understanding of market intelligence and competitor analysis within the packaging industry.

· Knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance measurement.

· Knowledge of distributor and channel-management practices.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
