Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

You manage and lead the Sales team. You will drive overall top-line goals by maintaining and growing strategic and national accounts. You will be responsible for achieving optimum budgeted sales on a National, Global and/or Strategic level, consistent with budgeted profit and selling expenses.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Team Management

• Leading Malaysia sales team of 2 to 5 members.
• Effectively coaching, teaching, and developing solid Sales and negotiation skills within the sales team
• Oversee team to ensure they are proactively identifying new accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers.
• Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
• Train and provide development opportunities for members.
• Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed.
• Act as a team role model and change-agent.
• Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.

Strategy and Execution

• Developing and implementing long-term Sales strategies that are geared toward developing greater market share and profitability
• Align the sales department to meet the sales and margin plans.
• Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, implement initiatives to meet those needs, leading to successful sales.
• Prepare and manage sales, margin, and expense budgets.
• Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create a competitive advantage.
• Coordinate sales service with other service departments and operating areas like customer service, QA, Planning and Finance.
• Define the value proposition to the market, customers and industry including service, price and product platform strategies.
• Develop and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for products, processes and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years related experience of sales and account management
• Experience in handling a team.
• Skilled in effectively coaching, teaching, and developing solid Sales and negotiation skills within the sales team.
• Solid business acumen; ability to understand short and long-term consequences.
• Demonstrated successful experience in a sales position that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management positions or similar experience.
• Skilled in conducting required territory analysis and planning. Skilled in developing sales penetration and growth strategies at targeted accounts.
• Excellent customer needs assessment skills.
• Expert negotiation skills/experience.
• Excellent financial skills and business acumen.
• Skilled in conducting territory analysis and planning.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Broad-based understanding of how to manage territory business.
• Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
