Role Description The Costing Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang, responsible for managing and analyzing product costing and ensuring accurate financial data for decision-making. This role includes preparing and reviewing cost estimates for new and existing products, monitoring material, labor, and overhead costs, and reconciling standard costs with actual production costs. The Costing Controller collaborates closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to identify cost variances, implement cost control measures, and support pricing strategies. Daily tasks also include maintaining costing data in relevant systems, preparing cost-related reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret cost data and identify variances and trends.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles, manufacturing costing, and inventory valuation in a production environment.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Excel, SAP, or similar tools).
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and reporting, and strong organisational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams such as production, procurement, and finance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in costing or management accounting, preferably in food manufacturing
• Ability to work on-site in Kajang and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
