About the role.

This is a full-time position at Mountain Torq Sdn Bhd based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The role is responsible for providing strategic financial accounting and reporting support the business operation.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Liaise with company’s auditor, tax agent and company secretary.
• Performing month-end and year-end accounting activities such as reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the accounts team.
• Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 8 years of working experience. Minimum of 5 years in managerial level.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting for a small to medium organization.
• Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and regulations.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
