Job Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the steel fabrication factory.
• Directly supervise and manage factory workers, including manpower allocation, work assignments and productivity.
• Plan and monitor fabrication activities to ensure projects are completed according to drawings, specifications, quality requirements and deadlines.
• Oversee production progress, material usage, equipment and factory resources.
• Monitor fabrication quality and ensure proper inspection, measurements and rectification of works where required.
• Coordinate with office staff on production planning, procurement, logistics, documentation and delivery matters.
• Manage factory-related administrative and operational matters and ensure smooth coordination between office and factory personnel.
• Monitor workplace safety, housekeeping and compliance with safety requirements.
• Identify production issues, delays, wastage and inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions.
• Control operational costs and improve productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors and other parties on matters relating to factory operations and deliveries.
• Provide regular updates on production progress, manpower, material requirements and operational issues to Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience in steel fabrication, structural steel or metal works.
• Proven experience managing factory operations and a team of workers.
• Hands-on and willing to work closely with workers on the factory floor.
• Good understanding of fabrication drawings, production processes and quality requirements.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently in an SME environment with minimal management layers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates with strong experience in project-based steel fabrication will have an advantage.

* Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience and proven track record. Candidates with strong and relevant experience may be offered a salary exceeding RM12,000.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
