Jawatan Kosong Chemist in Kulim

Basic Function

Responsible for leading a team of lab technicians and support production by improving and implementing manufacturing processes, specifications, and documentation in order to achieve efficiency, productivity, safety and quality whilst respecting the pre-agreed terms of the JV with XSD International.

Responsibilities

Production Process Management

• Participate in defining manufacturing processes and procedures for a specific area in line with safety, EHS standards and efficiency/ productivity requirements.

• Check on manufacturing processes and procedures for a specific area agreed with Plant and Production management team to optimize the use of manpower, standard time, material, equipment and energy in the manufacturing processes.

• Responsible for visualization of process trends.

Product Quality

• Liaise with customer regularly about our product quality. It shall include coordinate, follow-up and mitigate quality complaints right upon receiving until it is being resolved.

• Responsible to lead RCA and prepare written report to Plant Manager and other stakehold-ers within the given timeline.

• Work as lab technicians to perform quality testing in the lab. It includes record test results in computer based data retention system

Quality, Safety, Health and Environment

• Responsible for the application and compliance with safety and fire safety measures in the lab.

• Inspect work areas on a continuous basis for possible problems or unusual conditions in the production facilities. Report deficiencies to the Department Managers.

• Proper handling of environmentally hazardous substances.

• Perform work duties in accordance with Omya Quality Systems Manual procedures.

Qualification

• Fresh graduates are welcome.

• Science stream

• Mandarin speaker

• Excellent command of both oral and written local language, English and Mandarin are required.

• Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
