Job Purpose

Responsible for managing purchasing activities, supplier coordination, cost control, and timely procurement of materials and services to support smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities, including RFQ, quotation comparison, purchase requisition (PR), and purchase order (PO).
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, capacity, and service.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead time, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure materials are delivered according to production requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, QA, Warehouse, and Finance on material requirements and purchasing matters.
• Follow up on outstanding purchase orders, delivery schedules, shortages, and urgent material requirements.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, purchasing, and material records in ERP.
• Support new supplier sourcing, qualification, and supplier development activities.
• Review material requirements and ensure timely procurement to avoid production disruption.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and approval requirements.
• Support cost reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and alternative sourcing projects.
• Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance reports, cost analysis, and purchasing status updates.
• Handle supplier-related issues, including quality, delivery, pricing, and documentation concerns.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in purchasing raw materials, components, packaging, or mechanical parts is an advantage.
• Familiar with ERP systems, MRP, PR/PO processes, and inventory management.
• Good negotiation, analytical, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage, especially for supplier communication.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
