OVERVIEW OF THE JOB

The Admission Officer is responsible for managing the admissions process at an international school in Malaysia. This role involves coordinating with prospective students, parents, and school staff to facilitate a smooth and efficient enrollment process, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about the school's admissions policies, regulations, and any updates or changes, ensuring compliance and consistency in the admissions process.
  • Oversee the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a positive experience for prospective students and their families.
  • Review and evaluate student applications, transcripts, and supporting documents to determine eligibility and suitability for admission.
  • Conduct information sessions and tours for prospective students and their families, providing detailed information about the school's programs, curriculum, facilities, and admission requirements
  • Assist prospective students and their families in completing application forms, gathering necessary documents, and submitting all required materials within specified deadlines.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies for marketing and recruiting new students, attending recruitment events, and representing the school to external stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospective families throughout the admissions process, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and guiding them through the necessary steps.
  • Liaise for the interviews and assessments as part of the admissions process to evaluate a student's academic abilities, language proficiency, and overall fit with the school's mission and values.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of prospective and enrolled students, using appropriate systems and databases, and ensuring data protection and confidentiality.
  • Prepares and presents reports that support decision making.
  • Respond to walk-in and locally-received telephone enquiries in reception
  • Ensure service level agreements are met at all times, both internally and externally
  • Deal with visitors or guests as and when required as per the Schools policy
  • Develop a sound working knowledge of the company database, following the policies and processes set out
  • Prepares welcome packs for new students.
  • Updates and maintains the School database with student details.
  • Keeps accurate records of student attendance and communicates any absences to the academic management team in a timely manner.
  • Checks all students have ID, visas or completed police checks in order to be compliant with Malaysia legislation.
  • Liaises with the visa department to ensure the School database is accurate where changes take place in the school.
  • Ensures the front desk area is tidy at all times.
  • Engage in the recruiting process by planning, coordinating, and overseeing promotional events, campus tours, student interviews, and other admissions activities
  • Collects and analyzes statistical data, and develops reports, reporting systems, instruments, mechanisms, and standards designed to evaluate effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Greets new students on their first day as part of their school induction programme.
  • Remains available throughout the day for questions from students regarding their accommodation.
  • Helps to manage problems or complaints efficiently and effectively with support
  • Offers responses to students in a timely manner. - Ensure student feedback is obtained in order to maintain the highest levels of student satisfaction

  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to make competent, informed determinations and judgments on a range of confidential and/or sensitive issues in an area of expertise.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate a range of special events.
  • Ability to assess and interpret individual student needs and to make appropriate referrals.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.

  • Knowledge of college-level student affairs and student services principles and practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM2,290.00 per month
