Jawatan Kosong Production Manager Food Manufacturing in Gelang Patah

Role Purpose

The Production Manager is responsible for the end-to-end daily operations of the JB factory — from raw material receipt through pre-processing, cutting, packing, and cold-chain dispatch. This is a hands-on leadership role that owns production output, quality compliance, team performance, and operational efficiency. The role is central to Banu's Holdings' strategy of scaling JB production volume while maintaining Singapore-grade food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and schedule daily production based on orders from Singapore (BH) and JB (BFG) operations
• Manage workflow across three production stations: Pre-production → Cutting → Packing / QC
• Coordinate raw material readiness with the procurement / purchasing team
• Ensure production targets are met on time and in full (OTIF)
• Minimise wastage and optimise yield across all product lines

2. Quality & Food Safety Compliance

• Enforce HACCP, ISO 22000, and Halal compliance at all production stages
• Support the QC & Compliance Officer in conducting checks and maintaining records
• Take corrective action on non-conformances identified during in-process or final QC
• Ensure all cold-chain handling and storage temperatures are maintained

3. People Management

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of production workers and line supervisors
• Conduct daily briefings, attendance checks, and task assignment
• Train new hires on SOPs, hygiene protocols, and equipment handling
• Monitor worker performance and address disciplinary issues in line with company policy
• Coordinate with the Operations Supervisor on manpower allocation and shift management

4. Inventory & Wastage Control

• Oversee raw material receiving, storage rotation (FIFO), and condition checks
• Track daily wastage by SKU and escalate abnormal variances
• Ensure finished goods are correctly labelled, packed, and staged for dispatch
• Liaise with the logistics / driver team on cross-border delivery schedules

5. Equipment & Facility Management

• Ensure all cutting, packing, and cold-room equipment is maintained and operational
• Report breakdowns and coordinate with vendors for repair or preventive maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready factory at all times

6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare daily and weekly production reports (output, wastage, headcount, downtime)
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost throughput and reduce cost
• Collaborate with Singapore HQ on capacity planning and new product onboarding

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a food processing or FMCG production environment
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role managing a team of 10+ workers
• Experience in fresh produce, chilled food, or perishable goods is a strong advantage

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of HACCP and ISO 22000 food safety systems
• Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and yield management
• Ability to read and implement SOPs; experience developing SOPs is an advantage
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for production reporting

Personal Attributes

• Strong hands-on leadership — comfortable working on the floor alongside the team
• High attention to detail, especially on hygiene, quality, and compliance
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Honest, disciplined, and dependable — this role carries significant operational trust
• Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia; English or Mandarin is an advantage for Singapore HQ liaison

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
