Procurement Non-Executive

Open to East and West Malaysian Applicant

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders for suppliers.
• Assist with basic communication between suppliers, forwarders and internal teams to check on order status, delivery timelines, and price quotes.
• Secure discounts or favourable pricing terms with suppliers to optimize cost savings for purchase.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement documents such as purchase orders, supplier invoices, and supplier delivery notes.
• Assist in preparing basic procurement reports (e.g., supplier database, order statuses, supplier delivery performance).
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, procurement guidelines, and legal requirements.
• Assist in arranging logistic of goods from suppliers to clients.
• Ensure items purchased have proper documentation for declaration (K1 and K3).
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement policies and procedures.

Requirement & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Economics) is often preferred but not always mandatory.
• Preferably with 1-2 years experience in procurement or administrative roles as it is considered a plus.
• Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in the local language and possibly in English and Chinese (especially if the procurement involves international suppliers).
• Understanding of basic procurement functions such as vendor management, purchasing, and sourcing.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
• Basic negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
• Attention to detail.
• Preferably with experience in procurement (1-2 years)
