Jawatan Kosong Associate Technical Professional Completions in Kemaman

6.1 Purpose and scope

• The Inspection Technician shall perform inspection for Asset such as Pipeline, Tank UPV, Structure and others as per Asset Integrity Management Procedure.
• The Inspection Technician shall supervise and monitor Inspection CAPEX Project by ensuring project execution complies to the need and Standards.

6.2 Roles and Responsibilities

• The Inspection Technician shall act as the Client’s technical representative to ensure inspection carried out by vendor or 3rd Party is according to PTS and VOPAK standards.
• Perform visual and physical inspections of plant equipment according to approved inspection plans and able to use inspection tool.
• Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including Ultrasonic Thickness (UT), Dye Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) when required.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and update findings to the Asset Integrity Engineer.
• Identify signs of corrosion, mechanical damage, or welding defects.
• Lead and Monitor piping inspection program.
• Able to review Inspection procedure, Job method statement, Job safety analysis, Inspection test plan.
• Involvement in Inspection Capex Project (Piping, Tanks, UPV, Boiler)

6.3 Competency & Authorization

• The Inspection Technician shall have Certificate or Diploma from recognized Institute.
• The Inspection Technician shall hold valid and recognized certification/qualification for Inspection as per below:

1. API 570 Pipeline Inspection

2. ASNT NDT Level II

Advantages:

1. Familiar with ASME Code and other API’s

2. CSWIP 3.1 OR AWS CWI

3. Vopak Standard- On site/Off-site piping Inspection & Maintenance Standards

• The Inspection Technician shall maintain current medical fitness to work at height, confined space and in industrial environments.

6.4 Pre-Work Planning & Verification

• The Inspection Technician shall review and endorse Inspection JSA, selection of inspection tool required.
• The Inspection Technician shall verify piping, tank or UPV drawings when required.
• The Inspection Technician shall confirm Contractor personnel competency, certification, and toolbox briefings for the specific task.
• The Inspection technician shall verify that inspection tools are certified, traceable (where required) and free from defects.

6.5 Oversight During Inspection

• The Inspection Technician shall monitor the Contractor’s activities to ensure compliance with approved JSA and drawings.
• Verify Field Inspection Report (FIR) and sign off
• Weather conditions (wind, rain, lightning) and associated controls
• The Inspection Technician shall intervene and stop work if unsafe conditions or non-conformances are observed.

6.6 Documentation and Record Control

• The Inspection Technician shall complete inspection checklists and reports accurately and legibly for each inspection event.
• The Inspection technician shall maintain a a good inspection reporting including:

Pipe ID, location, drawing, line number, pipe size and recommendation.

• The Inspection Technician shall submit weekly summary reports, photos as/or if required by the Client.

Pay: Up to RM5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kemaman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• NDT Technician: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• API 570 Pipeline Inspection AND ASNT NDT Level II (Required)
