Job Title: Senior HR Executive, Payroll (Mandarin Speaker)

The Mission You Will Take on – What You Will Do

• Handle the end-to-end payroll process for multiple client accounts, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely salary disbursement.
• Review and verify monthly payroll calculations, including salaries, overtime, allowances, claims, commissions, bonuses, statutory deductions, and other payroll-related transactions, ensuring 100% payroll accuracy.
• Perform payroll audits and payroll reconciliation to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Prepare and review payroll reports, payroll summaries, payslips, statutory contribution reports, tax-related reports, and other client-required documentation within established timelines.
• Act as the primary payroll consultant and liaison for clients by providing professional advice on payroll administration, salary structures, statutory requirements, and payroll-related matters.
• Conduct client meetings to understand payroll requirements, service expectations, and customized payroll arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, Income Tax regulations, and other relevant statutory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with payroll system vendors and internal IT teams to enhance payroll system functionality, process automation, and operational efficiency.
• Develop, review, and improve payroll SOPs, controls, and best practices to strengthen payroll governance and service quality.
• Guide and mentor junior payroll team members to ensure consistent payroll quality and knowledge sharing.

What you will bring

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• 1–2 years of payroll processing experience
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll regulations, Employment Act 1955, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other statutory requirements.
• Experience managing payroll for multiple entities, clients, or high employee volumes is an added advantage.
• Proficient in payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines simultaneously.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English.
