Jawatan Kosong Junior Finance Executive in George Town

As a Junior Finance Executive, you will support the finance team in various financial tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes and aiding in decision-making processes. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

1) Financial Data Entry and Processing:

· Assist in the accurate recording of financial transactions into accounting systems.

· Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, petty cash, staffs claims and other financial documents.

· Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable records.

2) Financial Analysis Support:

· Provide support in gathering and analyzing financial data for reports and presentations.

· Assist in preparing financial statements, budget reports, and variance analyses.

· Conduct basic financial calculations and assist in interpreting financial information.

3) Administrative Support:

· Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data organization.

· Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes as required.

· Assist in responding to routine inquiries and correspondence related to finance matters.

4) Compliance Assistance:

· Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.

· Help maintain documentation and records required for audits and regulatory filings.

· Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and assist in implementing necessary adjustments.

5) Financial Systems Maintenance:

· Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of financial systems and software.

· Assist in data entry, system updates, and user access management as directed.

· Collaborate with the IT department or external vendors to resolve system issues.

6) Ad-hoc Projects:

· Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior members of the finance team.

· Contribute to process improvement initiatives and suggest ideas for efficiency gains.

· Participate in cross-functional projects to gain exposure to different areas of the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Previous internship or entry-level experience in finance or accounting is preferred.

· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
