Job Responsibilities

• Assist and train farm workers on best practices related to layer farming to improve the quality and quantity of their production.
• Able to trouble shoot and provide guidance on issue of productivity limitation.
• Able to coach and train workers on best layer farming and poultry best management practices.
• Responsible to check and monitor the farm cleaning, disinfection standards and maintain higher level of bio security standards.
• Responsible to check and monitor the feeding, watering, vaccination, flock uniformity, weighing and other activities of the farm.
• Review records and data collected related to poultry production, productivity, feeding, vaccination, medication and poultry diseases for the farm.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly report for the farm.
• Able to solve local production and technical poultry issues where possible and report on-going problems including outbreaks of diseases and poultry mortality.
• Identify the root causes of the any problem and develop relevant and right time approach for its solution.
• Responsible for carrying out of layer production, health, bio-security, husbandry and poultry welfare practices.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Responsible to refresh the layer farm workers, knowledge in layer management in order to ensure production of cost competitive, high quality, disease free table eggs.
• Properly calibrate/operate the cage equipment (feeder, drinkers, light system, egg collection, storage and ventilators);
• Train the layer farm workers/supervisors in order to build their capacity in layer poultry husbandry duties such as temperature control, proper laying, medicating, humidification, environmental management (e.g. ventilation) and proper debeaking, practices.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Poultry Management, or layer farm working background with at least 5 years of experiences with reputable agencies/suppliers like feed supplier to layer farms, and or DOCs supplier to layer farmers.
• Working experience in layer farm especially in fully automatic controlled cage equipment is an advantage.
• Experience in technical role and farm management for livestock business.
