Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will support our accounting department by performing clerical tasks, including processing transactions, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles and be proficient with accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Process transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and expense vouchers.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documents.
• Respond to inquiries and provide support to internal departments as needed.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Account Assistant or similar role.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Autocount).
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
