A Day in Your Life at ATOTECH a brand of MKS:

As a Production Technician at MKS Atotech Malaysia, you be responsible to maintain a safe working environment with awareness and knowledge of site EHS standards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations. Work in safe manner.
In this role, you will report to the Production head of department (HOD) and work closely with him to achieve departmental output, target and quality consistent products. Closely monitor batches and ensure the smooth manufacturing process without delay.

Principal task: Responsible for overall production manufacturing activities, including staging and handling of batch processes. Operate and monitor batches in glass-lined reactors, with flexibility to stay beyond regular working hours for critical batch monitoring and process completion.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• To take full responsibility on the weigh & dispense (staging) process in production.
• To manage batch operations in glass-lined reactors and remain on-site as required for effective batch monitoring and process control.
• To check, verify and ensure the right type and correctly weighted raw materials are used for manufacturing (4 eyes principle).
• To support and actively participate in raw material charging, equipment cleaning, packing processes, and basic maintenance tasks when operational requirements demand.
• To support HOD on production batches cycle time optimization and monitoring – products pH & raw material adjustment, handling of QC sample, packaging labelling and optimize packing process.
• To evaluate and take necessary preventive action to prevent products or process non-conformances.
• To report all breakdowns, accidents, mishaps, injuries or any non-conforming product to HOD.
• To lead by example in maintaining punctuality, discipline, and good housekeeping practices.
• To maintain and take good care of tools, requirements, machines and company property.
• To strive for higher productivity by minimizing spillage, rework, undue delay and non-conforming finished goods.
• Any miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned by superior.
• EHS Responsibilities: Safety remains the number 1 priority by making it an integral part in all activities. Employees must review their work areas to identify hazards and assess risks and opportunities. Any hazards or injuries must be reported to your immediate superior. The employee must comply with the HSEQS policy and other related regulations.
• Participate in EHS promotional activities such as risk assessment and suggestions scheme and safety concern reporting.

Skills You Bring:

• Good command of English and Malay, both written and verbal.
• Preferred qualification: Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Willing to learn computer-based interface systems.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to follow procedures, instructions and guidance.
• Willing and able to work on shifts, weekends, on-call standby duties, and overtime as required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing environment will be added advantage.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and accommodate extended working hours when required.
