Marsh McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS) is seeking candidates for the following position at Kuala Lumpur, Corporate Tower:

Product/Application Support Team Lead

We will count on you to:

• Act as primary point of escalation for the Support Analyst
• Represent the Application Service Team and Technology Team in local and global management meetings
• Support the Technology Team Manager in meeting the wider team and company short to long term objectives
• Analyzing application incidents received via the Customer Helpdesk platform
• Provide 3rd line support to internal and external customers; assist in troubleshooting problems which have surpassed the abilities of other support staff members
• Diagnoses the underlying cause of incidents or performance issues
• Identify, evaluate and resolve client issues utilizing available resources or independent research
• Identify and implement workarounds until the underlying issues are resolved
• Resolution of incidents and service requests within the agreed Operational Level Agreements
• Writing articles in the knowledge base to increase awareness of issues and reduce the support call volumes
• SQL analysis of the database using queries
• Diagnose and report unresolved issues (defects) in a clear, concise manner to Software Engineering Team for resolution
• Test reported defects that have been corrected by Software Engineering Team
• Communicate and progress issues and resolutions with team members in order to inform, educate and improve current processes and service levels.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support or a similar role.
• Ability to effectively lead a team.
• Strong understanding of application support concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL or MongoDB for database analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving incidents and performance issues

What makes you stand out:

• Experience with cloud-based application support services, such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
