Jawatan Kosong Batching Plant Supervisor / Technician Precast Industry @ Ulu Choh in Johor Bahru

Job Summary

The Batching Plant Supervisor / Technician is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the concrete batching plant, ensuring timely and efficient production in accordance with approved mix designs, project specifications and quality requirements. The role includes supervising plant operators and workers, coordinating production and casting schedules, monitoring raw material usage and plant performance, supporting quality control and testing activities, and ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of plant equipment. The position also involves troubleshooting operational issues, coordinating with Production, QC, Engineering, Procurement and Maintenance teams, enforcing workplace safety and housekeeping standards, maintaining accurate production and maintenance records, and implementing measures to improve plant efficiency, productivity and reliability. The Supervisor / Technician will also provide training and guidance to batching plant personnel and undertake other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Ready Mix Concrete or Concrete Precast manufacturing Industry.
• Minimum with Diploma in Civil Engineering certification or equivalent.
• Computer literate, preferable in Microsoft Office applications or equivalent.

Main duties

1. Production Planning Execution & Coordination

• Plan daily concrete production based on casting schedule.
• Coordinate batching sequence according to different mix designs.
• Ensure plant readiness before production start.
• Monitor production rate to match casting demand.
• Schedule preventive maintenance to avoid breakdown during peak hours.

2. Supervision & Workforce Management

• Supervise batching plant operators, loaders, and plant mechanics.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor shift performance.
• Ensure operators follow approved mix designs.
• Manage attendance, discipline, and productivity.
• Conduct daily briefings and safety toolbox meetings.

3. Quality Control Support & Compliance

• Ensure concrete batching follows approved mix design.
• Monitor moisture content of aggregates.
• Verify weighing calibration of cement, aggregates, and admixtures.
• Conduct slump tests and coordinate cube sampling.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and QMS requirements.
• Maintain calibration records of weighing systems.

4. Interdepartmental Coordination

• Coordinate with Production Supervisor for casting schedule.
• Work with QC Inspector for concrete testing and approval.
• Liaise with Procurement/Store for raw material availability.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for plant servicing and breakdown support.
• Communicate with Engineering for mix design adjustments.

5. Material & Resource Management

• Monitor stock levels of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and water.
• Control raw material wastage.
• Ensure proper storage of cement and admixtures.
• Manage fuel and electricity consumption.
• Safeguard batching plant equipment and tools.

6. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving

• Identify causes of inconsistent slump or strength results.
• Adjust mix proportion under approved guidelines.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment issues (weighing errors, conveyor malfunction).
• Respond immediately to urgent breakdown during casting.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions

7. Health, Safety & Housekeeping

• Enforce PPE compliance in batching plant area.
• Ensure safe handling of cement and chemical admixtures.
• Monitor safe operation of loaders, conveyors, and mixers.
• Maintain clean plant area (dust control and spill management).
• Conduct regular safety inspections.

8. Reporting & Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare daily concrete production reports.
• Maintain batching records and mix design logs.
• Record material consumption data.
• Maintain calibration and maintenance records.
• Propose plant efficiency improvement initiatives.

9. Training & Development

• Train batching operators on mix design accuracy.
• Educate team on quality requirements and testing procedures.
• Provide refresher training on plant operation and safety.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs.
• Develop succession planning within batching team.

10. Other Duties

• Carry out any additional responsibilities as delegated by the QA Manager.
• Company reserves the right to change, amend, modify stated above at any time.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
