Jawatan Kosong Housekeeping Manager in Penampang

JOB SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and managing all housekeeping and cleaning operations within the shopping to ensure a clean, safe, hygienic and pleasant environment for shoppers, tenants, visitors and employees. The role oversees housekeeping personnel, cleaning contractors (if applicable), cleaning schedules, equipment, consumables, hygiene standards and compliance with the Company's policies, safety regulations and operational requirements.

1. Housekeeping Operations Management

  • Manage the daily housekeeping operations throughout the shopping mall.
  • Ensure all public areas, common areas, toilets, offices, event spaces, car parks, loading bays and external surroundings are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are completed according to established standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping-related complaints and rectify issues immediately.

2. Staff Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise, schedule and monitor housekeeping supervisors and cleaners.
  • Prepare staff duty rosters and work assignments.
  • Ensure adequate manpower is available for daily operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to staff.
  • Identify training needs and ensure employees receive proper housekeeping and safety training.
  • Promote teamwork, discipline and professionalism within the department.

3. Quality Control & Inspection

  • Conduct regular inspections of:
  • Public toilets
  • Shopping mall common areas
  • Escalators and lift lobbies
  • Offices
  • Events halls
  • Food court common areas
  • Car parks
  • External walkways and landscaping areas
  • Ensure housekeeping standards meet management expectations.
  • Implement corrective actions for deficiencies identified during inspections.

4. Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, consumables and housekeeping supplies.
  • Ensure housekeeping equipment including:

- Auto scrubbers

- Vacuum cleaners

- High-pressure cleaners

- Floor polishers

- Cleaning trolleys

  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Minimize wastage of cleaning materials and operational cost.

5. Safety, Health & Environment Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and usage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with environmental and waste management regulations.
  • Monitor proper waste segregation and disposal practices.

6. Customer Service

  • Respond professionally to tenant and customer housekeeping requests.
  • Investigate cleanliness complaints promptly.
  • Coordinate with Mall Operations to resolve housekeeping issues efficiently.
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants and mall visitors.

7. Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly housekeeping reports.
  • Monitor housekeeping attendance, overtime and leave.
  • Maintain housekeeping records and documentation.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and consumable usage.
  • Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and service quality.

8. Emergency Response

  • Participate in emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate housekeeping support during emergencies, events and major cleaning activities.
  • Assist in managing flood, water leakage, spills and other housekeeping-related incidents.
  • Support business continuity during emergency situations.

9. Other Duties

  • Support mall events by ensuring event venues remain clean before, during and after events.
  • Assist other departments whenever operational support is required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Facility Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in housekeeping, facilities management or commercial cleaning.
  • At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
  • Experience in shopping malls, commercial buildings, hotels or mixed developments is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment and cleaning methods.
  • Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
