Jawatan Kosong Logistic Executive in Bintulu

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies for the transportation of construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, gravel, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the project team, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor and adjust logistics plans based on project progress, weather conditions, and other variables that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of material inventory at different project sites.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are stored and handled properly to avoid wastage or damage.
  • Track stock levels and reorder materials as necessary to avoid delays in project progress.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management:
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, delivery schedules, and rates.
  • Ensure all logistics contracts are in line with the project’s budget and timelines.
  • Resolve any issues related to material shortages, damages, or transportation delays.
  • Transportation Management:
  • Oversee the transportation process, ensuring all vehicles comply with safety regulations and road conditions.
  • Plan transportation routes to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce travel time.
  • Monitor the performance of drivers and transport companies to ensure punctuality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
  • Monitor and control logistics costs to ensure they align with the project’s overall budget.
  • Identify areas for cost savings in transportation, warehousing, and procurement processes.
  • Prepare regular cost reports for management review.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with local transportation laws and environmental regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards for the handling, transportation, and storage of materials.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and material storage facilities to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities, including delivery schedules, inventory levels, and transportation costs.
  • Prepare and submit reports on logistics performance to project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, such as delivery notes, invoices, and permits, are properly filed and accessible.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics matters, ensuring clear and timely communication between project teams, suppliers, and transportation companies.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials are sourced and delivered according to project specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers to align logistics activities with the overall project timeline.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in construction or road projects.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and logistics practices in construction.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local road construction practices and materials is a plus.
