We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Global Custody & Treasury Operations Officer.

Role Purpose

  • The jobholder has the main responsibility of ensuring that all client instructions are carried out accurately and within the stipulated deadlines, while ensuring customers’ service standards are met. Ensure all submission of regulatory reporting and reconciliation of instructions are accurate and on timely manner.
  • The holder must pro-actively liaise with clients, counterparties, custodians (local and foreign), bankers and service providers (both internal and external) on potential issues and work closely with the line manager towards resolution.
  • The job holder is required to multitask; which includes providing coverage during the absence of colleagues within the team, to optimize work efficiency and people management.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate processing of client instructions, while observing internal and external deadlines.
  • Proper and efficient day-to-day running of GC & Treasury Operations and Transfer Agency operations.
  • Maintains excellent customer relationship.
  • Ensures customer service standards are adhered to.
  • Builds team morale and intersectional communication.
  • Contribute to the good development of staff.
  • Maintains the department’s technical advancement to meet customer’s needs.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
Requirements
  • The incumbent is expected to maintain the levels of efficiency and productivity to meet customers’ requirements and service levels.
  • The incumbent has to coordinate the action required on securities related matter and must ensure that client’s special instructions are acted upon.
  • He/She must ensure the relevant deadlines are met, any queries and contact from customers (both internal and external) are responded promptly and within 24 hours. Creative thoughts, initiatives and positive attitude are necessary for solving operational issues.
  • Strong, effective interpersonal skills and high standard of leadership are essential to ensure a motivated workforce in the section where volumes can unexpectedly escalate sharply in response to market movements.
  • The jobholder should have the ability to work independently and cautiously with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of unit trust funds products, local and overseas investment settlement requirements, FX, money market placement and Exchange Control rules guidelines is required.
