Jawatan Kosong Site Safety Supervisor in Kangar

General summary:

Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for providing support to the project management team, supervisors, foreman and workers. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirement of the assigned project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and rectifying any unsafe conditions at the site
• Ensure the safe working practices are observed and complied by all staff/workers at the site.
• Checking of sub-contractors work to ensure compliance with the Act and the Regulations made thereunder are complied with
• Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with safety of work undertaken by sub-contractor
• To handle and monitor general workers problems
• Carry out and prepare the daily site Safety Inspection Checklist.
• Carry out safety programs (Safety induction/toolbox meeting, etc) new workers/subcontractors workers from time to time.
• Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg. Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan, CIDB and etc) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirement
• Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the management on timely basis
• Assist and report to the Project Manager/SHO on issues pertaining to the site safety, health and environmental matters.

Skills Required:

• Able to use basic computer skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Working experience in an Engineering solution based company
• Team player and able to work with all levels of staff

Qualifications:

• A registered Safety & Health Officer with DIOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Yellow Book Holder
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Civil Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably candidate with work experience in Infrastructure Project (Bridge & Road Project).
• Capable of handle/resolve requirements requested by JKKP and Kesihatan Department.
• To have overview of construction knowledge and sequence of work.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Padang Besar, Perlis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
