We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-precision machined components, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and spare parts using conventional and/or CNC machining equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently deliver quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.

This role is presently located at our Seksyen 32, Shah Alam facility. Upon completion and operational launch of our new factory, the work location will transition to Sijangkang, Selangor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Set up, operate, and maintain conventional and/or CNC machine tools, including milling, turning, grinding, drilling, and tapping machines.
• Manufacture precision components, tooling, jigs, fixtures, mould parts, and machine components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Select appropriate cutting tools, machine parameters, fixtures, and work-holding methods to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
• Perform machine setup, tool changes, workpiece alignment, and first-piece inspections before production.
• Measure finished components using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
• Ensure all machined parts comply with dimensional tolerances, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and routine inspections to ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend corrective actions to improve machining efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain accurate production records, job status updates, and machine documentation.
• Comply with all safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organised work area through 5S practices.
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives to enhance productivity, machining efficiency, and operational performance.
• Work closely with engineers, programmers, production personnel, and other departments to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor, Production Manager, or Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum SPM, SKM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Machining, Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Machinist, Toolmaker, CNC Machinist, or in a precision machining environment is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant technical training are encouraged to apply.
• Able to operate conventional machining equipment. Experience with CNC milling or CNC turning will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, machining symbols, and dimensional tolerances.
• Familiar with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
• Good understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, materials, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality precision components.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or on shift whenever required to meet production demands.
• Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
