JOB SUMMARY
Under the general guidance and general supervision of the DOS/SM and within the limits of established Sales Policies and Procedures and Sales Systems. Solicit group business for the hotel. Maximize profits of the hotel through creative and selective selling and building up strong reputation to the public on the Hotel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reports directly to the Director of Sales/Sales Manager all sales related issues.
2. Responsible to achieve sales targets allocated by the management.
3. To monitor sales leads for both catering and room sales on daily basis.
4. Sells and promote hotel and its facilities at every opportunity. To know thoroughly the products, facilities and services offered by the hotel.
5. Maintains a sales call pattern within the designated areas of responsibility averaging 25 calls per week.
6. Monitors own accounts and monthly productivities and reports back to DOS/SM on any variances. Establishes and maintains histories on every account within the marketing area.
7. To attend daily catering briefing to trace on sales leads for both Banquet and room sales. Daily pick-up report prepared by Sales Coordinator used to trace the leads.
8. To recommend credit rating/facility for clients and to assist in the collection of debts if necessary.
9. To ensure all event order must be distributed to respective department 10 days before the event date.
10. To develop a list of target accounts. Ensures that appropriate efforts are expended on the solicitation and development of active, prospect and lost accounts.
11. Attends all functions related to the accounts handled.
12. Provides and produces sales leads for other segments.
13. To ensure quotations for customers enquiries are prepared and sent promptly and follow up accordingly to close the sales.
14. To conduct hotel inspection for potential customers systematically to promote the hotel facilities as and when required.
15. To entertain supporting clients through luncheon, cocktails and dinners on a regular basis.
16. Provides market feedback to the DOS/SM on changing market conditions, including trend in the competition to keep updated market intelligence in monthly sales call reports, on-going feedback on competitor’s rates, promotions and activities and major events happening in the market.
17. To participate in sales blitz according to guideline set by DOS/SM. Must be prepared to take on last minute assigned projects with deadline.
18. To undertake any reasonable tasks as assigned by the DOS/SM.
19. Submits weekly sales calls plan, weekly & Monthly reports to the DOS/SM.
20. Attends daily departmental sales briefing any other sales-related meeting as required.
21. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established hotel policies.
22. Maintain pleasant appearance and grooming in order to project a professional image for the hotel. To be pleasant and polite at all times.
23. Works closely with hotel sales personnel on all matters pertaining to meetings and assist to prepare banquet orders and necessary revisions.
24. To report for duty punctually, wearing presentable office attire at all times during course of work.
25. To have a complete understanding of, and adhere to the hotel’s policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
26. To have a complete understanding of the hotel’s employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contain within.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
