JOB SUMMARY

• Develop and maintain effective systems and processes to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts and budget reports.
• Support the annual budgeting process by guiding budget holders, monitoring financial performance, and investigating/reporting any variances.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, month- and year-end closing processes, audits (year-end or ad hoc), tax planning, and financial evaluations (e.g., tender analysis).
• Serve as the single source of truth for financial and business intelligence data. Leverage BI tools and data-driven solutions such as simulations, data mining, visualization, and sustainable business modeling to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with management units to collect accurate data for project, course, or activity costings, ensuring financial feasibility and reliable estimations for both ongoing and new initiatives.
• Utilize BI tools and technology to ensure report accuracy and timeliness for monitoring and supporting the University’s Campus Plan and KPIs.
• Assist the Manager of FBA in modernizing finance operations by transitioning from legacy systems to digital platforms for financial management, fixed asset tracking, and reporting focusing on both immediate improvements and long-term transformation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in a relevant area is an added advantage.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, MIA) is required.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in a commercial or audit setting, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
• Strong proficiency in using BI and technology tools such as Power BI, Tableau, UIPath, Python, or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
