Job Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of conveyancing and property-related transactions, including:
• Developer/project conveyancing
• Subsale transactions
• Loan/financing documentation
• Larger and more complex property transactions
• Draft, review and advise on sale and purchase agreements, loan/security documentation and other property-related agreements.
• Liaise with clients, developers, banks, government authorities, land offices and other relevant parties.
• Manage files independently and ensure transactions are completed within the required timelines.
• Assist with and/or handle corporate and commercial matters where required.
• Provide practical legal advice to clients in relation to property and transactional matters.
• For the Senior Legal Associate position, provide guidance and supervision to junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

• Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
• Relevant experience in conveyancing/property transactions, particularly developer projects, subsales and banking/loan documentation.
• Experience handling larger or more complex transactions will be an advantage.
• Exposure to corporate/commercial matters would be advantageous.
• Able to handle files independently with minimal supervision.
• Good drafting, communication and client-management skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required due to the nature of the role/client interaction.
• Candidates who are from Malacca or have ties to Malacca and are willing to relocate back to Malacca are strongly encouraged to apply.
