Jawatan Kosong Contract Manager in Johor Bahru
Job Title: Contract Manager
Location: Johor Bahru
Employment Type: Contract (until completion of project)
Department: Facility & Maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all QS and contractual matters and pre and post construction contract management including tender, estimation, taking off quantities, construction costs, valuation order, progress claims and final accounts.
- Liaise with sub-contractors, consultants, and authorities in all contractual related issues.
- Coordinate, organize, control, and verify payment and claims to sub-contractors, nominated sub-contractors, and consultants in a timely manner.
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Prepare and check contracts document, project budgets, bills of quantities, subcontract certificates, and other documentation.
- Sourcing and purchasing of materials and related products needed for production when necessary.
- To check material requisition and ensure that materials are accurate and within the project budget.
- Coordinate with Finance Department on payment related matters, monitoring monthly projection of cash flow.
- Attend site valuation, site measurement and regular meetings when necessary.
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, analysis, and related duties as and when necessary.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring terms are favorable and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
- Liaise with legal teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory and legal standards.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing.
- Monitor the execution of contracts to ensure all parties are adhering to agreed terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations related to contracts, such as employment laws, construction laws (for related industries), and other commercial laws.
- Track contract milestones, deadlines, renewals, and amendments, ensuring timely actions are taken.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, legal, etc.) to ensure smooth contract execution and adherence to internal processes.
- Maintain communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve contract-related issues.
- Serve as the point of contact for any contract-related inquiries.
- Monitor contract costs and ensure financial compliance with budgets.
- Work closely with the finance department to forecast and track cash flow related to contracts.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within contracts, advising management on areas of concern.
- Maintain an effective system for contract management and risk mitigation, including dispute resolution strategies.
- Work with internal teams to manage risks associated with non-compliance or breach of contracts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, CIArb, or equivalent) would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in contract management, quantity surveying, or related fields.
- Strong background in both pre- and post-contract administration within the construction or related industries.
- Proven experience in tendering, contract negotiation, valuation, claims, and final accounts.
- Sound knowledge of contract law, Malaysian statutory requirements, and construction regulations.
- Competency in contract management systems, MS Office, and quantity surveying software/tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
