CAREER OPPORTUNITY: SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR (SSS)

Project Location: Bintulu, Sarawak

Company: China Communications Construction Company (CCCC)

Employment Type: Full-time / Direct Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to join our project team in Bintulu. You will play a crucial role in maintaining occupational safety and health standards across our construction sites, ensuring full compliance with DOSH regulations and company safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
• Perform and enforce Safety Briefings / Toolbox Talks with sub-contractors and site workers.
• Inspect and ensure high-risk activities (e.g., lifting operations, working at heights, hot work) strictly comply with Permit-To-Work (PTW) requirements.
• Assist in site safety audits, incident/accident investigations, and prepare safety reports in compliance with JKKP/DOSH standards.
• Liaise effectively with site engineers, consultants, client representatives, and local authorities.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Competency Certificate / Yellow Book registered with DOSH.
• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or heavy construction sites.
• Good physical health and full mobility, capable of performing frequent daily site walks under outdoor conditions.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu. Fluency in Mandarin is highly advantageous to facilitate seamless communication with Chinese management.
• Strong sense of responsibility, high integrity, and assertive enforcement of safety regulations on-site.
