Jawatan Kosong Insurance Product Expert, Kota Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu
Based in: Sandakan & Tawau, Sabah
RESPONSIBILITIES
OSH Environment Improvement:
  • Implement plans to enhance safe working environments for employees in offices and operating centres.

Policy Implementation and Compliance:

  • Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the Malaysian OSHA Act and Regulations.

Management and Coordination:

  • Oversee and manage OSH-coordinators in each production operating centre in Sabah.
  • Coordinate safety and health training and ensure employees attain relevant competencies.

Management Regulatory and Compliance Updates:

  • Stay updated on new regulations, acts, guidelines from government agencies, and share updates with operation centres.
  • Keep abreast of external LTI statistics, news, and systems to share lessons learned with operation centres.
  • Advise operating centres and head office management on OSH management, regulations, and acts.

Audits and Reports:

  • Conduct workplace safety and health audits annually and prepare reports.
  • Audit operating centres with ongoing or new projects.

Incident Investigation:

  • Investigate incidents, inspect worksites, compile reports & give the solution for corrective and preventive action plan.
  • OSH Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure all OSH-related matters, including personal competencies, documentation, and equipment, comply with OSHA A1648 regulations, act, and our company standard.

Meetings and Coordination:

  • Arrange and coordinate safety community steering meetings quarterly for the Sabah region.
  • Liaise with government officials during audits, inspection, and site visits, particularly for LTI incidents.

Protecting Company Interests:

  • Safeguard company interests concerning OSH matters.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform any other safety and health-related tasks assigned by superiors.

Covered Operating Centres:

  • Tawau Regional Office – all estates in Tawau, Lahad Datu & Kinabatangan areas.
  • Wisma KLK, Sandakan – all estates in Sugut, Sandakan & Kinabatangan areas.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in OSH or related discipline from a recognised university with minimum CGPA 3.0.
  • Attended Safety & Health Officers Competency course is an added advantage.
  • Able to speak and write fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to travel and stay in oil palm estates in Sabah.
  • Able to carry out tasks at any time when required especially during emergency situations.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
