Jawatan Kosong Driver Welfare Coordinator Lorry Driver Counsellor and Support in Puncak Alam

To prepare Monthly Reports on the numbers of counselling sessions, topics/themes addressed during counselling, participation rates in counselling, improvements in performance through counselling, & the feedback received.

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor driver’s performance and review drivers who earn less than agreed benchmark per month to identify the causes for lack of performance; ie. health & wellbeing, truck issues or unfair load allocations.
  • Deep dive into causes for lack of performance and identify areas for improvement by creating a personalized development plans for drivers under review.
  • Acknowledge and reward drivers for safe driving, consistent performance and meeting performance milestones.
  • Develop incentive plans which are tied to performance metrics such as speeding, idling, disciplinary & incidents.
  • Ensure drivers receive fair and competitive wages, including benefits like health insurance, retirement plans and paid leave.
  • Create clear career pathways and opportunities for professional growth, such as promotions, additional training and skill development. Assist drivers in setting career goals and planning their professional growth.

Health & Wellbeing

  • Provide counselling to drivers over personal and professional matters which cause them any stress & anxiety.
  • Mediate conflict between drivers and staff to encourage a harmonious working environment. Foster a supportive and positive work culture where drivers feel valued and respected by colleagues.
  • Promote physical and mental health initiatives, which increase resilience and coping mechanisms for managing stress.
  • Create mentorship program where experienced drivers can support newer drivers.
  • Set up of rest areas with amenities which help drivers relax and recharge during their breaks.
  • Establish feedback mechanism; for drivers to voice their concerns for improvements.
  • Offer immediate support in case of accidents/emergencies and coordinate with relevant departments to provide quick assistant.

Training & Development

  • Plan and implement training programs focused on stress management and time management.
  • Organize workshops for drivers’ skill enhancement in driving, technical knowledge and safety practices.

Engagement

  • Collaborate with other departments in planning and implementing engagement activities for all drivers to increase satisfaction.

Reporting

  • Maintain a good profile on each driver; with each counselling session documented and progress on their personalized development plans charted across time.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience. Preferred experience in a driver management role (managing and coordinating the drivers).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistic, Health and Safety, Psychology, HRM, or a related field.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, problem solving, and rapport with drivers.
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations, as well as incident investigation techniques
  • Proficient in report writing
  • Knowledge of driver management and driver performance metrics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
