Jawatan Kosong Forwarding Clerk in Klang

Essential Duties:

1. Customs Declaration Processing

1.1 Prepare and submit customs declarations through the relevant customs systems.

1.2 Process import, export, transshipment and other customs-related declarations.

1.3 Ensure declarations are submitted within regulatory timelines.

2. Customs Compliance Management

2.1 Ensure compliance with all customs laws, regulations and procedures.

2.2 Monitor changes in customs requirements and communicate updates internally.

2.3 Maintain compliance with all government agency requirements.

3. HS Code Classification

3.1 Determine and verify the correct tariff classification of goods.

3.2 Ensure accurate duty, tax and SST calculations.

3.3 Seek clarification from customers where necessary.

4. Permit and License Verification

4.1 Verify permit, license and approval requirements before declaration submission.

4.2 Coordinate with customers and relevant authorities to obtain required approvals.

4.3 Ensure all regulatory requirements are fulfilled before cargo clearance.

5. Customs Clearance Coordination

5.1 Liaise with customs authorities regarding declaration processing.

5.2 Coordinate customs inspections, examinations, and document verification.

5.3 Resolve customs queries, holds and detention issues.

6. Duty and Tax Management

6.1 Calculate and verify applicable duties, taxes, SST and government charges.

6.2 Coordinate payment arrangements where required.

6.3 Ensure accurate duty and tax declarations.

7. Record Management

7.1 Maintain complete and accurate declaration records and supporting documents.

7.2 Ensure document retention complies with legal and company requirements.

7.3 Support audits and regulatory inspections.

8. Risk and Compliance Control

8.1 Minimize customs compliance risks and penalties.

8.2 Identify declaration discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

8.3 Escalate compliance concerns to management promptly.

9. LCL Operations Coordination

9.1 Coordinate import and export LCL shipments with co-loaders, consolidators, freight forwarders, warehouses and customers.

9.2 Coordinate cargo release arrangements with bonded warehouses, container freight stations (CFS) and deconsolidation facilities.

9.3 Ensure all documents required for LCL cargo clearance are complete and available prior to customs declaration.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

- Min SPM or Diploma / Bachelor’s degree certificate in a related field
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Excellent communication and presentation skill
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently & to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given & standard accepted practices.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
